Dr. Lewis Webster Jones, president of Rutgers University, has been elected president of the National Conference of Christians and Jews, succeeding Dr. Everett R. Clinchy who is leaving the post he has occupied since 1928. Dr. Jones submitted his resignation to the board of governors of Rutgers University last Friday. Dr. Clinchy resigned to devote full time as administrative president of the World Brotherhood organization.
