Dr. Leon Roth, educator, author and philosopher, died here while on a visit to New Zealand. He was 67 years of age. Dr. Roth, who lived in Brighton, England, was a former dean of the Faculty of Humanities of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Born in London, Dr. Roth received his MA and PhD degrees from Oxford University. He joined the faculty of the Hebrew University in 1928 as Ahad Ha’Am Professor of Philosophy and he was named dean of the Faculty of Humanities in 1949. He is the author of numerous books on philosophy and political science.
