Israel Premier David Ben Gurion today cabled his congratulations on the 60th birthday of Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, veteran American Zionist leader. The message was sent to Rabbi Irving Miller, president of the Zionist Organization of America, which will tender a dinner in New York tomorrow evening to mark Dr. Silver’s birthday.
The message wished Dr. Silver “many decades of fruitful work for Judaism and Zionism.” It expressed Mr. Ben Gurion’s hope that Dr. Silver would “give his hand to strengthen the Zionist lines” and to help achieve greater cooperation among the various Zionist groups in the United States, as worked out at a recent meeting of American Zionist leaders with the Premier.
