The Cairo radio, in a Hebrew language broadcast, boasted today that Egypt was converting the fedayeen organization into an all-Arab army of guerrillas to fight inside Israel and other countries “until all Arabs are liberated from colonialism. ” The announcer revealed that Egypt would attempt to recruit members of the murder gangs from among the youth of all Arab countries, including Yemen, Aden and North Africa.

Reports that Syria has increased her troops and strengthened her fortifications on the eastern shores of Lake Tiberias have reached Israeli military authorities. Last week Syrian gun emplacements opened fire on Israeli fishermen, a practice that subsided for a year after an Israeli raid in December, 1955, had silenced the Syrian guns and inflicted heavy casualties on the Arabs.
