The Jewish population of the Republic of Esthonia actively participated in the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the independence of the country held here this week.
On this occasion the Jewish National Council of Esthonia, where the Jewish community enjoys cultural autonomy, issued a proclamation greeting the Government and people of Esthonia and expressing its gratitude for the religious and cultural autonomy which serves as an outstanding example to all liberty loving States.
The Esthonian Government, in a proclamation issued in Esthonian, Yiddish and Hebrew, guaranteed the national and civic rights of all nationalities living in the Republic.
