First Israel Plane Lands in England; Met by Representatives of British Government

Impressive scenes marked the arrival today of the first plane of the Israel airline El Al at Heath Row, the London airport. The landing of the Skymaster was witnessed by a group of more than 100 guests and government officials, including Air Marshal Sir John Dalbiac, representing Lord Pakenham, Minister of Civil Aviation; Major Rowse of the British Foreign Office; H.K. Higgins, Undersecretary of the Overseas Department of the Board of Trade, and A.G. Watson, the Israel charge d’affaires.
