First Jewish Congregation in Alaska Decides to Join Reform Movement

Congregation Beth Shalom, the first synagogue to have been established in Alaska, has decided to affiliate with the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, Reform synagogue federation, it was reported here today. Services at the Anchorage congregation, which was founded 17 months ago, are conducted by Lenard Bazell, a lay leader.
