The winners of this year’s Israel Prizes, awarded each year on Independence Day, were announced here today. The recipients, who will receive 3,000 pounds ($1,000) each, include: the noted poet Avraham Shlonsky; Prof. Akiva Ernst Simon, in the field of jurisprudence; Prof, Aryeh Olitzki in the field of medicine; and the noted painter Marcel Janco in the field of art.
