France will ask the international community to consider sending a peacekeeping force to the Middle East to intercede between Israel and the Palestinians, France’s foreign minister said. Dominique De Villepin told the Jewish community radio station Radio J on Sunday that France would be calling for experts from the “Quartet” of the United States, United Nations, Russia and the European Union to carry out a “feasibility study” into the idea.
