A quiet campaign is being carried on throughout the State to sound out sentiment for Simon E. Sobeloff, United States District Attorney for the Maryland area, as a harmony candidate able to command the support of all elements of the Republican party in next year’s Gubernatorial election, it has been learned.
Results thus far, according to friends of Mr. Sobeloff, who have been conducting the survey, but who are not yet prepared for formal statements on their findings, have been encouraging.
