Theodor Fritsch, notorious leader of the German anti-Semites and translator of Henry Ford’s “International Jew” into German, was the first of the European anti-Semites to comment on Ford’s recantation and withdrawal of his anti-Semitic charges.
Fritsch, who gained notoriety by his attacks on Max Warburg. Hamburg banker, which were proven libels in the Hamburg court, expressed his unwillingness to believe that Henry Ford has really withdrawn his anti-Semitic charges. “I have the best proof that this is not the case,” he stated. “Were it true, Mr. Ford would have withdrawn from me the publication rights of his ‘International Jew’,” Fritsch declared.
