First steps toward formulating a program for the joint action of what might be termed a Federation of Jewish Federations in the German Republic were made at a conference of representatives of the state federations of Jewish communities held here.
In accordance with recent decisions, representatives of the various state federations met to discuss the method and procedure of the planned ‘Arbeitsgemeinschaft.” The conference decided to establish an agricultural colony to provide employment for a considerable number of Jewish immigrant workers in Germany who are at present without work. The Prussian Federation of Jewish Communities allotted for this purpose the sum of 30,000 Mark. It was also decided to start the publication of a journal in the German language for articles and essays in Jewish research work.
