Veit Harlan, producer of the Nazi anti-Semitic propaganda film “Jew Suess,” told a press conference here this week-end that he had destroyed one of the two remaining negatives of the film. Harlan asserted that he had burned the film in the presence of a notary.
The remaining copy of the film, he said, was in the hands of the United States Government which had seized it after the war and sent it to Washington. He said he was “deeply ashamed” that his name was connected with the film and did not want it used for anti-Semitic propaganda therefore he had destroyed it.
