Germany’s Cabinet backed legislation to begin paying Nazi-era slave laborers. The legislation, which the country’s Parliament must still approve, calls for payments of some $4 billion to the laborers, with other moneys going for property restitution and cultural projects, according to a draft of the bill obtained by Reuters.
