Germany’s former foreign minister said Iran’s nuclear intentions could not be trusted. At a daylong conference in New York on the United Nations’ role in the Middle East, Joschka Fischer lashed out at Iran’s U.N. ambassador, Javad Zarif, accusing his government of undermining Western faith in its intentions by burnishing missile technology and repeatedly threatening to destroy the State of Israel.
