Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller today proclaimed Wednesday, April 19, as “Warsaw Ghetto Day” in commemoration of the Ghetto uprising in April 1943 and in memory of “the 6,000,000 innocent men, women and children who perished” and “have become symbols of true heroism.”
