The Republican Organization placed a guard of honor at the home of the late Walter Rathenau, German Jewish statesman who was assassinated five years ago by a German anti-Semite.

A weath was hung on the tree in front of the Rathenau home which still bears two bullet marks. A Guard of Honor was also placed at Rathnau’s grave, where thousands went to pay tribute to the late statesman. The government placed a wreath on Rathenau’s grave.
