Hamas and Islamic Jihad adopted a wait-and-see attitude toward an Israeli-Palestinian cease-fire. Spokesmen for both groups said Tuesday that they wanted to meet with Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas before declaring a position on the truce, announced Tuesday at a summit meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Abbas.
