A department of Jewish music will be established at the Hebrew Union College this fall under the direction of Dr. Abram Idelsohn, well-known authority on Jewish music.
Dr. Idelsohn is the author of a number of books and articles of scientific character on the subject. Two of his books, “A History of Jewish Music”, written in Hebrew and “Diwan of Hebrew Poetry of the Yemenite Jews” will appear in the course of this year.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
