The difficulties encountered by Israel in its efforts to absorb some 400,000 immigrants in the past two years were stressed here by Henry Ford II and Israel Labor Minister Golda Myerson, addressing a United Jewish Appeal meeting.

Mr. Ford told the 700 persons attending the parley that by aiding the U.J.A. they would help Israel and thus assist in spreading democracy throughout the world. Mrs. Myerson explained that the lack of proper housing facilities at new centers of industrial and agricultural activity is preventing the Jewish state from making full use of its newly-acquired manpower.
