Hundreds of young immigrants to Israel from the former Soviet Union gathered in the Negev Desert to mark the fifth anniversary of the Jewish Agency for Israel programs that brought them to the Jewish state. The programs, designed to help high school graduates make aliyah and enter Israeli academic institutions, have attracted some 4,400 young people from the former Soviet Union during the past five years.
