The Daily Herald declared editorially today that Secretary of Interior Harold L. Ickes’ speech “stands as one of the most formidable indictments ever brought against one government by a member of another. In truth, the Nazis have converted the world to a moral alliance against them and have brought into the history of this century a new factor of which we see today but the beginning.”
