Beth Jacob, the first Jewish religious congregation in the Imperial Valley, will hold services during the High Holidays. Until this year Imperial Valley Jewish residents were obliged to go to San Diego or Los Angeles to attend services.

The new congregation will hold its services in El Centro, the largest city in the valley. A Sefer Torah has been procured and the following officers elected: Morris Rosen of Calexico, president, Jac Elester of Calipatria, vice-president; Al Caplan of El Centro, secretary; S. Naliboff of El Centro, treasurer, and S. S. Erdossi, Ben Smith and Ben West, trustees. Mr. Rosen will officiate at the services.
