Israel Dines, former president of the Zionist Organization in Brazil and leader of the Poale Zion movement in Brazil has died here at the age of 82. Born in Rovno, Poland, Dines settled in Rio de Janeiro 52 years ago. For many years he was the representative of HIAS in Brazil. One of his sons, Alberto Dines, is a well known journalist for the Brazilian press.
