Ephraim Margalith, former director of the Paris office of Keren Hayesod, the fund-raising arm of the World Zionist Organization, who is serving a 15-year prison term for embezzlement, while in office, will be released on the eve of Passover, it was announced here today. President Zalman Shazar has commuted Margalith’s sentence to five years, and that period will have been completed near the end of this month.
