Israel said it will pull out of four more West Bank cities if the Palestinians pledge to stop attacks. Speaking after Israeli troops withdrew from Bethlehem and Beit Jalla, Defense Minister Benjamin Ben- Eliezer told Army Radio on Monday that additional withdrawals would take place “the moment anyone gets up on the Palestinian side and says they take responsibility for security.”
