Israeli doctors reported an “impressive” improvement in the condition of an Israeli infant seriously wounded in a Palestinian mortar attack on a Jewish community in the Gaza Strip. Doctors said 15-month-old Ariel Yered had arrived at a local hospital without a discernible pulse, but was improving following surgery.
