Israeli officials said Palestinian militia leader Marwan Barghouti will not be part of a prisoner- release deal between Israel and Hezbollah. A Palestinian source had told The Associated Press on Sunday that Barghouti, the West Bank head of the Fatah movement, was atop the list of 200 Palestinian leaders reportedly slated for release in exchange for kidnapped Israeli businessman Elhanan Tannenbaum and the remains of three abducted Israeli soldiers, all being held in Lebanon. But Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz, among others, said Barghouti would not be released.
