Israeli shelling of suspected terrorist sites in the Gaza Strip killed three Palestinians. At least two of Thursday’s fatalities were believed to be noncombatants, according to local reports. Israel recently has stepped up airstrikes and artillery bombardments against Gaza, especially northern areas used by terrorists to launch rockets across the border.
