Israeli Teachers’ Conference Voices Demand for Increase in Wages

A demand for improvement of salaries of teachers in this country was voiced here today at a nationwide conference of teachers attended by 120 delegates representing about 12,000 educators.

Professor M. Dinaburg, Minister of Education. addressed the conference on problems, faced by the Israeli educators in the course of their work. Premier Ben Gurion sent a message to the conference in which he dwelt on culture and education in the Jewish State.
