Israelis marked the 10-year anniversary of Yitzhak Rabin’s assassination Friday. Speaking to Ha’aretz at a ceremony by the slain prime minister’s grave, Rachel Ya’akov, Rabin’s sister, said Israel is in worse shape today than before Rabin was killed on Nov. 4, 1995, by right-wing extremist Yigal Amir. Meanwhile, a former head of Israel’s Shin Bet security service, Ami Ayalon, called for the formation of a state foundation in Rabin’s name, saying the Rabin family had hijacked the former leader’s legacy.
