Israel’s attorney general decided to launch a criminal investigation into an Israeli Arab legislator for making anti-Israel comments during a visit earlier this week to Damascus. Elyakim Rubinstein ordered the police to investigate Azmi Beshara on suspicion of breaching the anti-terrorism act when he called on Israel’s enemies to broaden their resistance to the Jewish state.
