Israel’s Kadima Party began formal talks with potential partners to join a governing coalition. Kadima representatives met with counterparts from the Labor Party on Sunday. Labor, seen as most likely to be the junior partner in a government under Prime Minister-elect Ehud Olmert, urged Kadima to commit to a diplomatic framework for ending conflict with the Palestinians.
