Contributing $33,000 toward the entire $75,000 budget of the OSE, Society for the maintenance of health of Jewish populations in Eastern Europe, the Joint Distribution Committee helped to maintain 178 medical and health institutions, during 1937, according to a report released today. Of the 178 institutions, 77 were in Rumania, 51 in Lithuania, 36 in Latvia, and 14 in London, Paris, Berlin and Danzig.
