Jacob S. Manheimer, attorney, historian and Jewish communal leader, died here yesterday of a heart attack. He was 57 Mr. Manheimer had served as chairman of the board of the Academy for Liberal Judaism. Last year, he was selected as one of the members of a three-man team sent by the State Department to lecture on American religious life in West Germany.
