Jewish Agency Hopes Jewish Brigade Will Be Among Occupation Troops in Germany

The Jewish Agency hopes that with the cessation of hostilities in Italy and the imminent end of the war in Europe, the Jewish Brigade will be among the troops which will occupy Germany, Moshe Shertok, chief of the political department of the Jewish Agency, told a press conference today.

Chief Rabbis Isaac Herzog and Ben Zion Usiel today cabled to Brigadier Ernest F. Benjamin, commander of the Jewish Brigade, hailing the Brigade’s participation in the victory in Italy, and expressing the hope that full victory will soon be achieved.
