Measures to restore equal citizenship rights to Polish Jews, as guaranteed to them by the provisions of the Polish constitution, were presented by the Club of Jewish Deputies to Prime Minister Bartel at a conference today.
The praesidium of the Club, in conference with the Prime Minister, urged the government to take measures to meet the economic and cultural demands of the Jewish population and to see to it that in the practice of the government machinery in the Republic of Poland, the use of the Czaristic “Kromye Yevreyev” (except Jews) principle be eliminated.
The Prime Minister was said to be in favor of the measures proposed by the Jewish deputies.
