A three-day conference of Jewish students attending German universities concluded today in Lindau, in the southern part of Germany.
The 200 students discussed changes in their organization in order to permit their affiliation with German Jewish communal bodies because of the imminent dissolution of the DP-led Central Jewish Committee, to which they have been attached in the past. The students adopted a resolution requesting that the communities provide scholarships to help them complete their studies.
The first Jewish social club in Germany since 1933 opened here this week. Some 300 members attended and elected Dr. Wulf Peisachowitz, well-known surgeon and chief physician at the Munich Jewish Hospital, chairman. The club will become a cultural center for all Jewish organizations and political groups.
