The annual meeting of the South African Jewish Ex-Servicemen’s League today pledged its members to continue a recruiting campaign to see “that every able-bodied Jew joins the Army.” The meeting stressed the Jews’ enthusiastic response so far to the military service call. It was revealed that in one Rand regiment 48 per cent of the troops are Jews.
