A nationwide two-day conference to analyze and evalnate the achievements of Yiddish literature during the last 50 years will open in New York on December 16, it was announced here today by the Yiddish P.E.N. Club, the organization of poets, essayists and novelists.
Speakers at the conference will include prominent Jewish writers, play-wrights and poets from the United States and Canada. The conference will issue a declarationin connection with the entry of Yiddish literature into the second half of the twentieth century.
