More than 40 Jewish deputies were elected to the municipalities throughout the Czecho-Slovakian Republic, the results of the elections just made known disclose.
The “Jewish ticket” polled an unprecedented large vote, ranking eighth in the list of fourteen parties.
In Prague itself, hitherto represented by only one Jewish deputy, two were chosen, Doctors Singer and Kavka. The Jews in Prague polled a vote of 8551. Casting 3423 votes in Pressburg, the Jews obtained four seats. They elected also four in Eperjes, two in Kaschau.
In Grossevljus, the Jewish ticket received the largesst vote. Eleven Jewish deputies were chosen there. Thirteen of the Jewish nominees were chosen in Muneacs, 6 in Prestan, 1 in Teplitz, and 1 in Leitmeritz.
