Gradual elimination of Jews from trade will follow their expulsion from public services and drastic restriction in the professions, Premier Josef Tiso declared today in a newspaper article.

A boycott of Jewish shops is being carried on throughout Slovakia. Jewish stars and the word “Jew” are painted on shop windows in both the Slovak and German languages and non-Jews are forcibly prevented from entering the stores.
