Jews’s Leases on Farm Land Ordered Cancelled

May 12, 1939
See Original Daily Bulletin From This Date

The Ministry of Agriculture today instructed all communities in the protectorate owning agricultural land to terminate lease of land held by Jews. The measure affects lessees of 35,000 hectares (about 87,000 acres) of land. In many instances the acreage had been worked by Jewish families for decades.

Acting to “Aryanize” the protectorate’s grain trade, the Grain Monopoly has informed all grain buyers to submit certificates of “Aryan” origin.
