A “Friends of Israel” committee, comprising several leading Christians, has been formed here by the Mayor of Johannesburg, C. J. H. Patmore, following his return from his visit to Israel. Addressing a luncheon given in his honors by the Johannesburg Zionist Association here, he said he had taken steps upon his return to initiate this committee as a gesture of goodwill.
