Jordan’s foreign minister is visiting Israel as part of an effort to promote a Jordanian-Egyptian proposal for ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Abdulilah Khatib met with his Israeli counterpart, Shimon Peres, to discuss implementing a cease-fire accord brokered last October by the United States.
