The new 770-certificate four-month Jewish labor immigration schedules was attacked as “suffocating immigration” and crushing the last hope of desperate Jews the world over at a large protest meeting organized by the Mapai, labor Zionist party.
Issuance of a new schedule was demanded by speakers, who included Joseph Baratz, Zalman Rubashow and Abraham Dobkin.
