Lack of Funds Closes Credit Societies in Ukraine

The Jewish credit societies in the smaller towns of the Ukraine have been forced to close, because no funds are available for advancing credits since the Joint Distribution Committee stopped subsidies to these institutions.

“Der Stern” publishes a list of these credit societies and loan banks which are unable to assist local Jewish artisan cooperatives with loans for ?aw materials because their treasuries are empty.
