Rabbi William Margolis of the Congregation Chab Zedek, yesterday advocated organization of the Legion of Decency campaign to purge the screen of filth on a permanent basis.
Writing in the Orthodox Union, national organ of the Jewish Orthodox Congregations in America, of which he is editor, Rabbi Margolis said the religious teachers of all faiths should join hands with leaders in education to constitute a lasting movement.
Cleaning the screen, the rabbi continued, will be of no value, however, unless the thoughts and feelings of men are refined.
