Editor, Jewish Daily Bulletin:

I note in your issue of Thursday, July 13th, the statement that “Pennsylvania Appoints Jew to Public Service Position for First Time in History.” This is not correct.

Jewry of Pennsylvania is delighted to have had Hon. Herman Goldberg of Wilkes. Barre appointed but he is the second one to have been appointed by Governor Pinchot. Hon. Frederick P. Gruenberg of Philadelphia, recognized as one of the most capable members of the present Pennsylvania Public Service Commission, is also of Jewish descent.

Very truly yours,

DR. Louis Gershenfeld.

Phila., Pa.
