Swastika-signed threats were received today by the Repertory Players of Bermondsey, warning them to withdraw the scheduled production of Friedrich Wolf’s anti-Nazi play “Professor Mamlock.” The play is having a successful WPA run in New York.

The anonymous letter said:

“Keep your lying Jewish propaganda out of Bermondsey. Don’t stage Prof. Mamlock if you want to keep out of trouble.”

Posters advertising the play in Bermondsey, a London suburb, were torn down and marked with swastikas.
